Greetings and Cyber Hugs from Pat Lee (updated June 15, 2020)

We are now living in unprecedented times. What is referred to as the new normal seems challenging in many aspects...its hard to accept these new practices but for the sake of our own safety, its understandable.

None of us really enjoy "change" although I did look forward to not having an office to lease and less commuting on the highway! Now that our province is slowly opening up, I am considering how to re-open my practice - what my work hours would be, and how I can safely operate so to protect both  clients and my family.

I will be following to a large degree, the standard guidelines for the Registed Massage Therapists. These include:

  • the client agrees by way of a signed waiver they are not showing any signs or symptoms of covid19, have not been out of the country or province within the last 14 days, have not been in contact with any individual/s who have had covid 19 and this includes flu or colds. In summary all clients must be in 100% health to the best of their knowledge.
  • Clients are asked to bring their own face masks, due to the proximity between therapist and client. Clients may wear gloves if they wish to, or can ask if they prefer me to wear gloves. The client has access to hand sanitizer on my premises before and after the session.
  • It is preferred that clients do not use the washroom on my premises unless urgently needed but sanitizing is always available.
  • The client is welcomed into the home/home office location without touching door handles so office doors are touched only by the therapist.  An exception is the railings on the staircase which is sanitized after each client.
  • Clients please wait in their vehicles until the 5 minutes prior to their appointed time. There will be half hour between clients to allow for sanitizing and new linens replaced for each client.
  • Please wait until you are at my front door of the townhouse before donning your mask.
  • Rebooking of clients is best made by text phone or email.
  • The office policy regarding cancellations: I will be confirming each person's appointment a day prior to their scheduled time, by phone or text.
  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) due to sickness - no fee.
  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) that is not related to illnes, client to pay the full fee.

My desire come May was to work fewer hours and spend more time with my grandchildren. However as we all know April and May were thrown into disarray with the Coronavirus. I am looking at opening up the week of June 1st and offering Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the time being.

The first available time will be 2:00 PM and the next will be 3.30 PM. Two clients a day, twice a week.

As stated earlier, only former clients are being accepted, on a first come first serve basis, and my session rate has changed to a flat fee of $80.00

While I understand these hours may not suit everyone, it's "my new normal" in an effort to balance being close to retiring altogether , my desire to spend time with my grandkiddies, but still having the desire to facilitate healing. For those clients willing to make the trek out to Brentwood, please call, text or email me.

Clients will receive by email, two PDFs prior to their appointment - one is a Self Assessment Tool and the other will be Policy and Address to the home office. Thank you for your continued patronage!

In health, we remain.
